美国是西方现代艺术的中心,抽象表现主义艺术在世界范围内的影响是广泛而深远的。从社会史角度切入艺术史,会发现美国抽象表现主义艺术在二战后受到异域文化传播的重要影响。在此社会背景中,抽象表现主义艺术吸收了一定程度的亚洲宗教思想(包含东方禅学思想),并在创造中进行了跨地域文化语言元素的艺术转换。也就是说,美国抽象表现主义艺术的形成与东方文化中的禅学思想有着千丝万缕的微妙关系。在此意义上,本文通过探讨东方禅学对美国抽象表现主义艺术的影响,呈现其中的复杂面貌。

The United States is the center of modern Western art,and its abstract expressionism art has been influencing the world widely and profoundly.An insight into the art history from the perspective of social history can reveal that American abstract expressionism art has been affected by the spread of foreign culture after World War Ⅱ.Under this social background,the abstract expressionism art,while absorbing a certain degree of Asian religious ideas,inclusive of oriental Zen,makes some artistic transformation of trans-regional cultural and linguistic elements in the process of creation.In other words,there exists some delicate connection between the formation of American abstract expressionism art and the Zen ideas in the Oriental culture.In this sense,this paper attempts to explore their complex interaction while expounding the influence of the Oriental Zen on American abstract expressionism art.
