通过实验研究工作记忆容量的大小对中国英语学习者口语流利程度的影响,从中发现,工作记忆容量大的说话者的流利程度明显高于容量小的说话者,第二重任务对流利程度的负面作用非常显著,当记忆资源有限时说话者倾向于采用修正和停顿作为协调信息加工和存储的策略。
Abstract:This experimental study aims at finding the exact effects of WM on EFL learners in China.The results from the experiments reveal that speakers with larger WMC are more fluent than the low-span speakers,that the second task exerts highly significant negative effect on oral fluency and that when relatively more demands are made on WM,there will be a decline in fluency for all speakers,so speakers tend to adopt repairs and pauses as their strategy to achieve the trade-off between language processing and storage in their speech.
