2023年全国宣传思想文化工作会议正式提出习近平文化思想，并将“明体达用、体用贯通”勘定为习近平文化思想的“鲜明品格”。习近平文化思想既深植于中华优秀传统文化的丰厚沃土，也必然以中华优秀传统文化为重要对象，对中华优秀传统文化的理论认识之“体”、传承发展之“用”和新时代具体实践上的“贯通”进行了明确揭示。在理论认识之“体”上，习近平文化思想明晰了优秀传统文化的本质，周涵了优秀传统文化的外延，确证了优秀传统文化的农耕属性，辨明了优秀传统文化的特征，凝练了中华文明的特质。在传承发展之“用”上，习近平文化思想明确了优秀传统文化的文化根脉地位，指明了优秀传统文化传承发展的基本原则，提出了优秀传统文化传承发展的具体目标任务，阐明了优秀传统文化传承发展的路径。在新时代实践的“贯通”上，习近平文化思想以“中华文脉”“两个结合”“历史传统”“中华文明”四个核心范畴和命题将中国共产党的马克思主义政党属性、马克思主义中国化时代化发展、中国特色社会主义道路和中国式现代化同中华优秀传统文化相贯通。

Xi Jinping Thought on Culture was formally put forward at the national meeting on the work of public communication and culture in 2023, which distinctively features the good coordination of the theories and applications. Deeply rooted in the fertile soil of fine traditional Chinese culture, Xi Jinping Thought on Culture also takes the fine traditional Chinese culture as an important object, and clearly expounds its "body" in the theoretical cognition, its "use" in the inheritance and development, and its "connectivity" in the concrete practice in the new era. As with the "body" of theoretical cognition, Xi Jinping Thought on Culture clarifies the essence of fine traditional culture, expands its extension, confirms its agricultural attributes,identifies its characteristics, and condenses the qualities of Chinese civilization. As with the "use" of heritance and development, Xi Jinping Thought on Culture clarifies the status of the cultural root of fine traditional culture, indicates the basic principles for its inheritance and development, puts forward the goals and tasks for its inheritance and development, elucidates the path of its inheritance and development. As with the "connectivity" of practice in the new era, Xi Jinping Thought on Culture connects the fine traditional Chinese culture with the attribute of the CPC as a Marxist political party, the contemporary development of adapting Marxism to the Chinese context, the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the Chinese-style modernization on the basis of four core categories and propositions of "Chinese cultural tradition", "two combinations", "historical tradition" and "Chinese civilization".
