王夫之在所著《宋论》中,基本对岳飞持肯定态度,肯定了岳飞的才略、操守和功绩,同时也指出了岳飞未能完全收复中原,而自身又遭非命的悲剧命运,并分析认为是由于赵宋政权一贯的抑武国策、宋高宗和奸相秦桧的投降方针以及岳飞自身的修养不足等三方面因素并发的结果。作为传统知识分子,王夫之身历明清之际的政局动荡,他的观点有其局限性,更重要的是带有极强的时代现实性。
Abstract：In Comments of Song Dynasty,WANG Fu-zhi essentially took a positive attitude to YUE Fei,and appraised his gifts,personal integrity and achievements highly.Meanwhile,WANG Fu-zhi pointed out that the tragic fate that YueFei failed regaining the Central Plains of China and suffered being executed wrongly resulted from the concurring of three factors: Song dynsaty's prevailing national policy of restraining military force;capitulationism of Emperor Gaozong and wicked minister QIN Hui;and deficient cultivation of YUE Fei himself.Being a trditional intellectual and exposed in the political turbulence during Ming-Qing transitional period,WANG Fu-zhi had limitations of his own,though his viewpoints represented the mighty practical significance of his time.
